southwest pa hunt

The weather is starting to get a little warmer and I am itchin for the first hunt. Anyone from around Fayette, Westmorland, or Washington counties that want to hook up for a hunt (my first) let me know. Also if anyone knows any good places to go let me know.

Wish I could go with ya...but good luck on the hunt...when you mentioned Washington County - I assume you're somewhere in the general area of Pittsburgh - right?

There is a place north of Pittsburgh (probably a couple of hours north) called Cambridge Springs. To get there, go north on I-79 until you get to Meadville. Then get on 6/19 North...you'll go through Saegertown and Venango - then to Cambridge Springs. In Cambridge Springs there is an OLD hotel (renovated) the hotel was built(I believe) in the late 1800's because people thought the springs in the area had healing properties...I'm not sure if you can hunt right around the hotel - but there is an old walk way out to the springs that are several hundred yards away...I met the hotel owners when my wife and I stayed at the hotel for a weekend - and at the time I heard them give permission to a couple to hunt the area for arrowheads - so it might be worth a shot to see if you can MD there. If not - it's still a great drive with a LOT of old properties on the way....I'm sure SOMEONE would let you hunt!
