Default On the Farm Post#3 Mercury is Rising

Well associates, I finally had to get off my duff otherwise I would have felt useless spending all day in my PJ's on the TQ forum.
Spent a couple hours MDing the farm.
4 pennies earliest was 1968 2 of them
1 nickle 1942 S
2 Mercury dimes 1940 and 42. My first mercurys. They were about 7" down. I turned the soil over and they just popped out. Blazing against the moist black soil. Like they had just been thrown down there. It was like seeing my first commet. You never forget it.

Also found an "Evanston Beach" tag #36. Probably a locker or hut number. No key, but a hole where one could have been attached. There is an Evanston, IL I'll do a google search. Perhaps that beach hasn't been turned into condos. Maybe I can get a finders fee if they want it back.

3 metal tags from the Jackson & Perkins Co. of Newark, New York. They identify three kinds of Chrysanthemums. Iceland Gull, Canary, and Carolina Parakeet. All three also say "asexual reproduction of this plant without license is strictly prohibited by the Plant Patent Act" Who would have known that!!!??? Each has their own patent number engraved on the tag.

I also found one more complete horseshoe for a total of 3. For those of you who have not been following the farm chronicles, I keep finding tractor parts and have the intention of building a tractor from them all. But, if the horse whose shoes I keep finding has gold teeth I may have a horse before the tractor.

Plus all the other terra flotsam/jetsum.

Best to All,
Riff

Default Threw um on the scanner

This are some of the things I found today. Plus the amethyst and bracelet I found on my first farm hunt. The amethyst is a dark purple and does not show up at all like it really is.
