Hello all
Hi,
I'm new to your forum, and thought I'd shout out to you all. I'm active duty Navy (almost 20 years) and am coming back from a short deployment, you all don't know how I miss relic hunting back in Virginia. I had the chance to hunt in England with the Plymouth Detector Club, they were awesome, they picked me up from the ship, and brought to a Rally in Cornwall. They put me up in a tent with a cot and sleeping bag, and fed and filled me with drinks. The metal detecting wasn't bad either, I found a 14 or 1520 King George II penny (by far the oldest coin I've ever found) and the UK Detectornet (web forum group) presented me with a 11th Century hammered silver penny. I also bought in a auction a 149 AD Roman coin. Whats wierd over there is they hunt in farm fields, I asked why they did that and the answer was we've got 2000 years of people dropping coings and most farmers paid there farm hands right in the field. Oh and someone did find a gold coin too. But I'm still looking forward to the heat, mosquito's, ticks, briar's and snakes more than I thought I would. I guess once hooked, always hooked... Skip

LOL.Ole VA is waiting on you Skip. I don't have many coins like that Rick but am trying.Just started my business a few months ago but have collected for awhile. If you sale your wifes car you better get a horse and a doghouse. What kind of Morgans do you need Greg? I might be able to get them at cost for ya,minus shipping and insurance. Peace Dollars too.
