Here's my ghost stories, the house me and my sisters grew up in was haunted,,everyone who lived in that house has had some kind of experience. One was when I was teenager, daytime, home alone, just watching TV when out of nowhere I started smelling cigar smoke. At first I thought something was on fire in the house so I went from room to room sniffing the air - nothing. Went back to my chair and the smell was still there and only there.....I left!! Another time I was upstairs in my bedroom, it was nighttime, my dad and stepmother were downstairs in the kitchen. I was sitting on my bed folding some clothes when my cat came in the room, she walked over to me I reached down to pet her and suddenly she started arching her back, fur standing up and growling real low AND she was looking up and past me, I told her to quit it and keep trying to pet her, she just keeped getting worst....there was only one thing to do and that was to turn around to see what she was seeing......I did.... and nothing was there!! I went downstairs for awhile, but eventually had to return.. nothing ever happened like that again. When my mom lived there she would always here music playing and voices talking..my dad claims he never heard or saw anything and we are all crazy !! My stepmom when she was alone there my bedroom door would always slam shut over and over. Of course I always thought it was funny, "they" never seemed to like her--she always had the more scarier experiences. The house is in the process of being tore down, nothing more has happened since that has begun.

Exclamation My House

This is my house in England. It was built 300 years ago. I have spotted what I would call a ghost in the house on more than one occasion. I have also heard many footsteps and strange noises. I would discribe the ghost as small in stature and friendly. One day I was having coffee at the coffee stand right there on the river. While sitting there a woman walked up and started talking to my friends at the table. She introduced herself and after a little discussion she realized where I lived and informed me that her family used to own the house. She noticed that the house was updated a little bit and asked if she could come in and take a look around. When she went upstairs she started to tear up and I thought that to be a little strange. She then said, "this is where it happened." Ofcourse she then gained my interest. She proceeded to explain to me that the bedroom was her two brothers and that one of them had died there. Great! In my room, that sucks! But, that is where I see the figure. After she left I thought about it and I think that the ghost is her brother. She said that they moved out of the house right after that because she couldn't deal with it. I am a 30 year old man and live in that house alone. I am 6' 2" tall. I am a big man, but this freaks me out. I talked to it one night and nothing bad has ever happened.

There is a show on the SciFi channel called "Ghost Hunters" for those of you that like that sort of thing. It's really creepy, usually on Wednesday nights, but sometimes they show reruns thru the week.Check it out.

Here's a real ghost story , two friends of mine were living in an old farm house and every now and then they would hear a baby crying, they were single ,no kids around . So they followed the crying sounds one night , it led them to the attic door which had been nailed shut long before they moved in , they pryed the door open , the crying stopped and on the steps leading up to the attic were little baby or kids footprints , they later found out that the parents of a child had left her or him there and not come back for days , so as the story goes , the baby died in the house , happened in the 1920s ,, others had reported the crying and moved out shortly thereafter , as did my 2 friends ............. believe it or not . i have another story i'll tell later .

Default Name

Hey, folks. I think I have written about my ghost story up in N.C. It was about the Christmas visit to my son at his apartment. Where something tugged at the back of my shirt (twice) and then the loud creaking sounds in the top of the bedroom closet?
Well, now I'm hearing my name called out. Some times it is loud and sharp, others muted. Since I work most of my waking hours at W-M, it is disconcerning to walk the isles and hear my name and there is no one around. I keep wondering if there is someone trying to get ahold of me????
I don 't recognise the caller's voice.
Have a great Holiday season. My Christmas story will be sent in soon.

This tale isn't really about ghosts, or at least not ghosts you can see, but it is weird and true. A few years ago, I was driving along, no cars in front or behind me, on one of the local mountain roads. There are hardly any straight stretches on these roads, which means one blind curve after another.

I suddenly got a "flash" in my mind of an oncoming logging truck. (Not sure if I already told this story here or not.) I could "see" it was loaded and could even see the color, which was brown. The truck was crossing a narrow bridge that I knew was just a turn or two ahead, taking its half outta the middle. This bridge crossed a creek that fed into Bass Lake, and had metal railing on both sides, with a steep drop-off into the rocks and water below.

Even though I couldn't even see the bridge or truck yet, I slowed way down, thankful nobody was tailgating me. When I came around the blind curve, there was a loaded, brown logging truck smack in the middle of the road on the bridge!

If I hadn't slowed down, I would have been on that bridge at the same time as the truck, with nowhere to go to avoid colliding with his front grill. I would have either died from a head-on, or by crashing over the side into the huge boulders and deep water below.

Another bad thing -- my husband was in his work truck, and he came by that same spot just as I safely got through. If I hadn't had that "vision" or whatever it was, he would have come upon a very grisly sight. It would have been a shock to discover who the accident victim was.

Anyway, I have had other similar experiences that have saved my life. Maybe there really ARE guardian angels...either that, or humans have more "powers" than current science can understand.
