Welcome aboard!I would consider a GMT (if it has to be White's),otherwise a Tesoro LST or a Fisher Goldbug in that country. There is a lot of nugget hunting sites close to you.Check out GSSN(gold searchers of southern nevada. They have a ton of good claims for their members.About $30 a yr for family. However, stay with us and post all your great finds!HH

Thank you for the welcome,
I was actually considering going with a Minelab either the Explorer or GP3500. Just cause I always seem to be in the right place at the wrong time... Meaning.... Last year I was hunting at Sebastian Inlet where the 1715 spanish ships went down and well I had no luck... But come the day after when I was getting ready to fly to Vegas I grabbed a local paper and loll and behold right on the front page there was a guy hunting in the same area and he found Sooooooo Many gold & silver coins that he didnt have room left in his darn Pockets... You can bet I was just a Tad frustrated when I saw that on the cover.... Then Just a few days ago I was on a hunting trip around WickenBurg Arizona Hunting " Javelina" Pig.. I was looking for a decent place to camp and found one so I unload the Quad and start scouting a lil about 2 miles down the road there where a couple hundred RVer's and I was suprised to find out that I was at the Lost Dutchmans Mine, everyone was telling me about how there finding "Gold Spuds" thats how they put it. meaning they were finding gold the size of potatoes. How true was it Im not really sure but I heard it from 2 seperate hunters... they were all using Minelab gp3500's... and wouldn't you figure I was in a rush and left my detector home and I got skunked on the hunt aswell.... lol... so being that I travel to NY, PA, VT, FL, AZ,NV, etc.. and there is GOLD to be had I'd like a more Upgraded Machine... |
