Hello,

Ok folks, lets give this a try.
If anyone is interested in getting detecting equipment or even metal detectors at a fraction of the price you must join our user group.

The cost to join will be $5 per year.

Here's how it will work:

Lets say we get 10 members at first, we will take a poll or discuss what we want.
Lets say we decide on the Vibra-probe pin pointer.
Pappy or myself will contact a few dealers to work up the best price possible.
Say for instance the price on the probe will be $100 shipped. Each member of that user group would then chip in $10 each.
We would then have a drawing to choose a winner. The winner would get the probe for $10 Sounds like a good deal.

The more members to the user group we get the bigger items we can draw
10 or 20 members we can easily shoot for metal detectors

I've been trying to think of a way that Pappy & I can participate in these drawings. The only way I know of is to let the dealer draw the number??

Give me your thoughts and we can refine this as we go.

Just a thought, instead of any particular detecting item perhaps the money could be converted to either a gift certificate or a credit to be held by the dealer in the persons name and used towards any item from a probe, headphones or a detector. Like i said just a thought. HH Bill

That is a good idea Bill, we can do all kinds of things.

Pappy will pretty much run things in that user group and he can work with the dealers so we can get deals.

Yes that was nice of boobie to think of TQ and got me thinkin again. This isn't to put one dealer up against any others but i know Ron@Dixie has a customer referrel plan and perhaps everyone who registers with TQ purchase plan would get a reference # and all transactions are considered referred to by TQ and find dealers who would honor the plan and if we all got better deals perhaps it would be worth more than $5 to be a member of the TQ Plan. And all dealers must give a true discount and or add free shipping on accessories or something and in return get a special listing under "TQ purchase Plan Act of 2006" Could be interesting to hear some dealer feedback. I'm sure someone will come up with a workable plan. HH Bill

Sounds interesting Bill.
I think we're moving in the right direction.
This is a good way to hand out metal detectors thats for sure.

We could even have a list of detectors (discounted & approved) then start taking pledges to wards them. When a certain detector gets enough pledges to meet its buying price then hold the drawing. I would rather have a neutral party do the drawing as Pappy and I may want to get involved

I think the membership fee per year should go to TQ to help with the cost of the site and the rest go towards the drawing...lets say 10 bucks a year is more than fair to the members but I dont know what it costs a site like this to run....and also is this drawing considered a lottery???....we want to be legal at the same time. just my 2 cents
