Default places to did

Im new to MDing . only hunting my dads property . but recently i've been seeing posts on how to aquire places to hunt.. seeings how my dad lives over an hour away . i figured i need some places to hunt around here (Jackson, MI) so i got online and went to jackson county parks web pages got an email address and sent an email asking if it was legal to MD . after about 10 min i get an email back from a lady saying i have permission .. she gave me a phone # if i had any more questions .. (of course i have more questions) . i called . she then explained to me that she was the director of all jackson county parks .... i then asked her if she had any written consent . (to make sure my B-hind was covered ) she didnt' have anything in place. long story short . she is now sending me a license to MD in all 15 parks .. i almost huged her through the phone .. Jackson, MI has a lot of history. some of the parks are very old. wish me luck
i'll be sure to post all my finds..

I must agree with Pappy and Boobie, all you gotta do is ask. If you get a "no" just go somewhere else and ask until you get a yes. People very rarely offer you a place to hunt. You have to seek places out and ask for permission.

I wish all communities were like Jackson when it comes to this issue.
