It is basically a raffle for people who have joined in the "Group Buys". The group picks something to buy, like a detector, from one of the TreasureQuest sponsors and then Group Buy members decide if they want to participate in the drawing or sit it out.

You can take a gift certificate instead of what is being purchased to spend in the sponsor's store.

$5 to join and to get in on the next event.

The usual dollar value of the item some where between $200 and $250 and the amount each participating member pays is determined by the quantity of participants.

You can pay electronically or mail your money in.

It is not an educational thing, just a way to add to your inventory of detecting equipment.

Ok - some times you would think this blonde hair was real. Is it $5 to join and another $5 to participate in the raffle for a total of $10 or does $5 do it all? Just want to make sure I send in the correct amount.
