Default I'm in the OC

Hey Getndusty,
I'm behind the orange curtain :) I just got my MD a couple of weeks ago and was also wondering where all the california people were. What are some of your favorite spots around here to hunt??

I'm going to a couple of local parks (Mission Viejo and Lake Forest) this weekend and I've been to Aliso Beach, but other than that I'm stumped. Everything seems so protected here.

Welcome!! It's nice to see someone so close.

Default Hello from the OC

Hi getndusty

I too am in So Cal. I'm a newbie when it comes to MD and such. I'm really looking forward though to doing some detecting and lookin' for gold. I'm hoping to meet some people who can show me the ropes so to speak, I know there is much to learn!

Cheers

Hi Dusty, It is my hope to get back to Arizona someday to do some gold nugget hunting with a metal detector. When I lived in Southern Arizona we would drywash for gold but I couldn't afford a metal detector. So I hope to go back with metal detector in hand. I sure wish I was out there hunting with you. I sure hope you will show us some of the gold nuggets you find. Again welcome to TQ and maybe you can entice other nugget hunters to join TQ. God Bless.

Default So Cal MD'ers

Most of the metal detectorists from the California area are members of other MD forums that cater especially to California treasure seekers.

I presently reside in the Southern Cal area (Long Beach) and regularly detect local parks, beaches and schools.

Default Southern Cal.

I'm also a "newbie" at this hobby, and live in Gardena, Calif. I don't get a chance to go out too often, but would love to do more MD'ing and some prospecting.
