Default new from upstate ny

Over the winter my wife and I decided to take up the hobby of metal detecting. Recently I found a couple of dectors on ebay. they were bounty hunter tracker 4. excellent price, which is good for our budget because I am disabled. We have never used metal detectors. But i like hunting for relics and old coins. Besides it will be god exercise for me. I have been reading here for about a week now and found a lot of useful info on MDing. As soon as We get our metal detectors we will be starting in our basement since there is a lot of snow on the ground still. Our house was built around 1851, and still has dirt floors in part of it. will be fun anyways. then when the snow goes to the backyard. I also been spending time doing research on the net. Hope to share finds in the near future. Could use all advise and tips.
Wayne

Hi Wayne - welcome to TQ. I too am from upstate NY. I am in the Plattsburgh area. My daughter lives in Glens Falls. Can't wait for this snow to melt so I can get out detecting. Looking forward to seeing your finds. Maybe some time your wife and you and I could meet for a hunt? Let me know. Take care. JoAnne
