Hey Treasure Nuts, just wanted to post a little note about myself. Have been in the hobby since 1972, and currently try to get out when I can. My back hasn't made it easy the last few years, but I can't seem to give this hobby up. My others hobbies are photography, trap & skeet and model railroading, but metal detecting & photography is way ahead of the others.
My current arsenal include the Whites MXT, Minelab Sovereign XS2a Pro and the X-Terra 70. My favorite hunting includes frontier military relics, shallow water and old coin hunting. I hope to get out more now that I'm retired, back permitting. Nice friendly site you have here. Kind of a breath of fresh air I might ad. Hopefully, I can share some of my past experiences to help others where possible. Good hunting everyone, Otto... |

Wow! Thanks for such a warm welcome. Chuck (TreasureHut) said you were a great group, and I see what he meant. It's nice to find a place where folks are sincere, and want to help others in the pursuit of this fine hobby. I am very pleased to make your acquaintances. I suspect I'll be here for a long time, as long as you all will have me. Thank you!!!
Warsawdaddy (Ron), sorry, I'm in Colorado, and am probably in the same boat as you when it comes to putting a large layout together. My only suggestion is to take your time in working out the details in advance. It should save you a lot of headaches down the road. I have a lot of excellent links I can share. Just PM me, and I'll be glad to "lay" them on you. Again, thanks for the welcome, I really appreciate it. Good hunting, Otto... |
