Default A little Intro from Indiana...

Hello everyone!! I am just getting back into detecting, or I will be when the ground thaws!!!!!! I used to have a lot of fun with it when I was young so I thought I would give it a try again. On a whim I picked up a detector off Ebay for a descent price(at least it seemed to be to me). I picked up a potting trowel I will modify(sharpen the edges) and I made a coin probe. With my work pouch I should be all set....

Anyone living anywhere remotely close to Kokomo IN drop me a line, I'll need all the help I can get.....

Hello Jeff G......Welcome to TQ, this is the best place to be while we wait for the 'Big Thaw'. What detector did you get? I'm from Wabash, so I'm not far from you at all, still a newbie at all this. If your looking for some detecting buddies, maybe my husband and I can get together with you.
Good Luck
Hopefully spring will be here soon !

Cool,
I saw your blog and dropped in a comment.
I picked up a Whites Classic II, unused. I know it's a bit old hat, but it was the right price and from what I could find out, it should be a descent unit.

Yes, perhaps we could all get together for a hunt. That would be fun.

Default Welcome fellow Hoosier

I am down state in Mitchell. Love the fact of all these Hoosiers on the forum. Everyone thinks that all we know is basketball. Good luck and you will simply love the forum.

but doesn't Mitchell revolve around Basketball??

Just kidding. I am originally from Crawfordsville. They won a state championship once--the first one back when they still had bottoms in the peach baskets....

I am just hoping the snow melts soon!!!!
