Default New to the Forum

Hello All!
I have just joined the forum and am looking forward to learning a few new tricks in this teriffic hobby. I have been metal detecting since junior high school (35 years...WOW! Does time really go this fast?) Of course, life tends to get in the way and hobbies are the first to suffer so my metal detecting hobby has been on and off for the last few years. I have been using the same Fisher 1235-X since 1988 and it still works just fine. I finally decided to upgrade and recently purchased a Garrett GTP 1350. It hasn't arrived yet but when it does I will run it through its paces. From everything I read about it, it sounds like a good machine. I actually thought about a Bounty Hunter Time Ranger but several dealers suggested the Garrett because it is a better detector and is not as cheaply built. I don't know but I will let you all know how it goes once I get started with my new Garrett. Anyhow, just thought I'd say hello.
