John,
The only thing you can do for me is go to my forum and make a guess.

Thumbs up

I see that you have already done so.
Good Luck John. If you win would this be your first meteorite? If so you will probably the first person to ever start thier collection with an R type meteorite, they are very very rare. I wish you and everyone else GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!

Even if you do not want the meteorite, you could always hold a contest of your own using it as a prize again. Or you could start up a meteorite collection. Meteorite hunting is what brought me to this site. While out meteorite hunting you find a lot of unusual things with the Metal Detector. Remember NEVER throw out your hot rocks, if you have the means than take them home and cut them in half or a piece off of it, if you see metal flakes and or chondrules than you may have just found a meteorite worth more than your car. If anyone here ever thinks they may have found a meteorite you can contact me and I will try and helk you find out what it is and if you found a nice little treasure.

Happy Hunting,
Joe Kerchner

Hi Joe, yes I have one meteorite from Meteor Crater in Arizona that I purchased from Arizona Skies. When I was living in Arizona years ago there is no telling how many meteorites I might have stepped over when I was out drywashing for gold and hiking. Ok Joe thanks for the contest and CU later.

Indian40,
I am sorry, but you have to go over to the forum and make a guess there, sorry about that, but I wish you good luck if you decide to go over and enter.
Best Wishes,
Joe Kerchner
