The Library of Congress is putting 2,240 MAPS and CHARTS and 76 ATLASES and SKETCHBOOKS online and the Virginia Historical Society and Library of Virginia are adding about 600 items. Much is online NOW and the rest will be online by Spring. Items depict TROOP POSITIONS, MOVEMENTS and FORTIFICATIONS. Included are RECONNAISSANCE MAPS, SKETCHES and COASTAL CHARTS.
