Hello Rarefindz, oh yes I would recommend the sniper small coil to you anytime. It is just plug and go. Most people get a second lower shaft and put the small coil on it and it is very easy to change out that way. I would go for it because it will let you get closer into the metal legs and supports. i usally (in the bag) take w/ lower rod a 3.5 a 8" and 10 or 12". if i hit a new spot i use the 8" and scout it out. i have gotton into fields with nothing not a nail. i'll go with a 10 or 12" coil. but if i hit heavy trash its a 3.5 or 5" and ya it helps like unreal. in trash it wont mask a good target like a stock coil. HH
