Sorry I have no help at all for you. But I want to know how that ace 150 is treating you. Mine should be coming in on Friday and I can't wait to get started.

There is no pinpoint button or mode. You have to reasonably find the location of the target. Move the coil back toward you while "wiggling" it side to side. Once you just lose the signal note where it goes out.Re-find the signal with the tip or front of the coil and note the spot. Then "wiggle" the coil back out from you until the back or heel of the coil loses the sound. That spot where the front and back both lose the signal is the best place to dig.

I do not know if this would help (since I do not have my MD yet) But something I have been thinking about is watching the dvd, reading the manual and once that is all done I am going to take pennies, nickels and soforth and bury them at different depths and marking where they are so I can learn what they sound like and what is the best way of pinpointing them. Give it time and keep working and I am sure everything will work out for you. If I figure anything out with me 150 once it gets here I will let you know.
