Default Upgrade from a ace 150

Well as some of you know I found myself a pretty nice watch last weekend. I bought my Ace 150 for $130 and because of this ring I found (about $170 - $400 or more, still need to take it in somewhere) I was thinking of upgrading. If you had an Ace 150 for just a few weeks and suddenly came into some money and had the chance to upgrade to the 250 or something, would you do it? I need to get my business license for a little projuct I have going and I was thinking if I was able to get about $400 for this watch I might be able to get the Ace 250 and my business license. Let me know what your thoughts are on this. I still have no idea what I am going to do.

I had my 150 for 8 days when I ordered my second machine. I now have pinpoint ability and target id with the minelab 30. The upgrade was worth it IMHO. BUT, three weeks later I am thinking about my next machine. But, I am a gadget freak

I think for now I will stay with the 150. Getting better with it every time I go out. Just means that if I sell the watch then I will have more money to dump into the biz.

My suggestion would be stay with the 150 for now, and upgrade to another detector, such as the Tesoro Vaquero, when you can. In this way you would have two detectors that function differently, so you can try both ways, TID and non-TID to see which works best for you.

When I upgraded from the Ace 250, I bought a more expensive TID detector, which I like. But now I wish I'd have stayed with my first choice, the Vaquero, to have the variety.

I started with the ace 250 and I upgraded to the minelab x70 after only 5 weeks. I would say use your 150 and then upgrade to a "next level" machine when you feel you have learned and found all you can with this machine. Good luck and happy hunting.

What I would do is, live with my Ace for a while, use the monies to help with a business which could someday provide another income stream to support my metal detecting habit ....................

If you want to upgrade go past the 250 to the ones mentioned here. The Vaquero or Cibola or Minelab X30.
