Default planted garden..

I planted some coins a month ago,
They must have rotted in the ground, cause I can
only get a sound in one direction with the ace250.
How long does it take to establish a conductive field ?
They are 2-4-and 5 inches deep.

Default they re gone

Somebody else found them already. I threw a handful of coins out in the yard and found them all the same day. I don't know about any waiting time or fields. but I think someone used your metal detector while you were not home and dug up your coins. I hope you find them

Default

I know where they are, right under a golf tee...
And no one will dare come in the yard alone and chance
getting a leg torn off by my 17 year old snauzer. ha.
Maybe I got a bum machine or counterfit coins..

Default Test Garden ???

Tomcat, I suspect that there are other metals in your test garden that are making the detector null out!!! You may want to start this over but this time use your all-metal mode and remove all of the metals from your test garden. When you replant place the targets at least a foot apart and use like a golf tee to mark each location. Besides using targets like coins and various trash objects, try placing coins at different depth levels. Also be careful of accidentally placing some of the coins on edge this will definitely cut the signal in half!!! GOOD LUCK.............Joe
