Default Old Hotel used to house confedrate troops

I've just recently talked to my wife's uncle and he lives in an old house in Pagland SC.The house is around 150 years old. He mentioned that about 100 yards beside his house that and old hotel used to be there and that a road passed beside it that the troops would march down on the way to camden SC. I have seen the site it is heavly wooded but I can see where the foundation of the hotel used to be and part of the old road. How would some of you guys hunt this area and what would I expect to find to prove that this used to house soliders and also other people back in the civil war. Thanks for any replies

As soon as I get a chance I'm going down there to see what the earth gives up. If I get some good stuff I will post it on this page. Thanks for the insight, wish me luck. This site would be a good place for a team hunt very big area.

Default Wow

Sounds like a great place to hunt. Boobie know what he is talking about so I have only one bit of advise. Bring a camera and show us everything you find. Best of luck.
