Hi Joe,
I don't have a Fisher but before purchasing a machine you should ask the dealer these questions, you might find there is a different machine better suited to your situation.
The sponsers on here can sort you out I'm sure.
Good Luck.

Default Anne Said It...

...very well. Perhaps you should take a little time before buying that Coin$trike, and look at a few newer, and higher Tec machines?

Hi Joe, Although the Coinstrike has it's following, I will try to share what I know about the machine which is not a lot Joe. My biggest concern is the LCD display. I think a lot of them have a tendancy to bleed out, in other words it can develop blotches or spider webs because I believe Fisher used a cheaper type LCD. I have heard people complain about EMI problems when in an area that has radio towers and lots of power lines. The I/O front panel and menu is not the friendliest. Despite these problems I like the machine. You may want to consider the fact that they are not really Fisher anymore and I think it is going to be discontinued. But the present pricing is good to what it was when Fisher still owned the company. I have my demo unit and I like using it but it is not very often. As was pointed out the Minelab Explorer SE is an excellent choice. The Xterra 70 is also a very good pick.

If you don't mind using an analog machine and no display, Tesoro is also a fine choice. Even though they are knob driven they still give you the performance you are looking for. They do have the DeLeon and Cortes with LCD displays. The Tejon and other H.O.T. models are great! I love the new 5.75 H.O.T. coil too.

Ok I will say happy hunting and God Bless Joe and if you need any help just PM me.
