Default Carrying pouch/apron

I am looking for some type of pouch or apron that will carry my pinpointer as well as my digging trowel. I looked at the sponsors websites and didn't see what I was looking for................question, does anyone know where I can find one of these?

Thanks!
Brad

As you know I have just started MD'ing recently but in my opinion the holsters that are made for the pinpointers are hard to beat. There was an idea posted recently on making a holster from aa cell phone case that sounded pretty innovative. As far as pouches I havent figured that one out yet myself and sometimes just use a cheap nail apron. I also would be interested in other opinions.

Mallardman:

I use a simple leather nail pouch (approx 12" wide by 12" in length) on a carpenter's web belt...you can get them at Home Depot, Lowe's or just about any hardware store...my digging trowel fits inside well - with plenty of room for other stuff...good luck!

Default Pouch

I've used the cotton carpenters apron because I have a few around the house. The only difference is that I tie it in the front and put the pouch in the back. That way I can stoop down and it don't get in the way. Recently I've been thinking of upgrading to a classier operation. I would be thinking along the line of a "trap shooting pouch" similar to this one from Browning: Browning Broken Birds Deluxe Trap Pouch-Mosquito Creek Outdoors
(Note: not an advertisement or endorsement, just an example of style)

The belt would be adjustable to heavy winter clothes and light summer wear. The additional pockets could hold my finds, etc. and enough room for a few items. Most of them are CHEAP too! And I can put the pouch on the left, or behind me away from the swing of my detector. There are quite a few different designs with the added advantage of being able to put a second one on the same belt if I needed more room.

Just a thought or two
Thanks
Leo

I've been using a sort of travel/map bag instead of a pouch. It slings over the shoulder, has several compartments, and the main compartment is deep enough to hold my hand shovel and the drywall saw I use to slice out a plug. The big compartment is where all the trash goes as well, and I can put a plastic mat in there that I use to lay out my plug when I've got to dig deeper in the hole or tear the plug appart to find the target. There's a nice little mesh compartment that holds finds well. There are a few other zippered compartments that are good for holding anything special that is found. Unfortunately, my pinpointer is too long to fit in the bag as well, so it is normally carried in hand.

If you have a Vibra Probe, you can take the clip off the back of a cell phone case & glue or sew it on the back of the holster. As far as my Digging tool , I just carry that in my hand or Back Pocket. I wear BIB-Overalls so I have lots of Pockets to use. I'm sure you'll Find something that works.

Good Luck & HH.

I went and got one of these on Friday.

Finisher's Pouch

(note); An example of product no endorsement.

I like it, very light and cheap at under $10.00. I am going to have to adjust the two hanging points to fit my needs. Several pouches of good size. I have worn it around the house and works for my gear very well, Beale.

I run with an old cotton nail pouch and a set of army surplus pants or shorts with multiple pockets. My only problem is the more pockets I have the more junk I carry ................... LOL

Default sewing one up

I was looking for the same thing. The wife and I went to the fabric store for some cotton canvas cloth. She is handy with the sewing machine and said shw could sew me up a sack with a strap. I'll post a picture when it done and let you know how it works out. I have designed it big enough to carry the probe, shovel, and all the tin I dig up.
