Default Stepping up from the prizm 2

I have a buddy who wants to buy my prizm 2.I,ll recover virtually all my money,so I was thinking about adding a little more $ and getting something better.I see all kinds of gently used MD,s on ebay.what I,m looking for is something that will go a bit deeper, and help eliminate the junk better. Can you all make some reccomendations? I wouldnt even mind a machine thats a couple years old.Feel free to toss your ideas

It would be best to talk to one of our sponsors.
They will advise you and provide any service that you may need.
What ever you do try to stay away from Ebay.
Ebay won't have any service to offer.
A lot will depend on how much money you plan on spending for your upgrade. That will make it easier to help you in your decision.

Sounds like you might be ready for a minelab xterra 50 or 70.

Well Boobie,I can appreciate your comments,Thank you.I have been around ebay long enough to get ripped off for about $1200.00 over the coarse of 2 or 3 bad transactions. Then again I have had 187 good transactions. So yes I do apprach with caution.I,m more interested in what makes/models that does a better job that what I have now..

I'm sure you'll get alot of different answers on that one . It will all depend on how much your willing to spend, what kind of hunting, what kind of ground your digging in, do you want auto ground or manual ground balancing, TID or just Tones, do you beach hunt also and so on and so forth. As Boobie said talking to the sponsors will help or if you want to give more info as above then you will get alot of different opinions. Some folks are loyal to one brand while others go with what they think works for them under different hunting conditions. There are alot of good detectors out there pretty much at any price range. I hope this helps a little and doesn't add to the confusion.

Good Luck & HH.

Looks like a great machine, although the X-50 would be easier on the wallet, how do they compare?

Minelab Xterra's are great machines,I had the 50 for about 18 months and have just upgraded to the 70.
The 70 has extras like ground balance tracking, beach and relic mode, tones ect:
Although I have now got the 70 am still very impressed with the 50.
Whatever you decide on good luck

if you liked the prizm, then i'd go with something like the white's matrix m6 or possibly a mxt/xlt if you are willing to spend the extra cash. it might be better just to go with a better, more expensive machine that will last a while and perform well.
