Default What is the best way to post photos

I have a digital camera but the photos aren't very clear and detailed. Some of the photos I've seen are spectacurlarly clear and I'm just wondering if there's a secret to producing good pictures to post.

You'll need a good camera for starters. Then learn how to use it. The more megapixels the better the photo. If you want to do more than resize them you'll need some software. Infanview is basic but pretty good. Hope this helps.

I agree with Arkwater. Take the best picture you can and then resize it to an acceptable size to upload here.

What Ark & JC said and also....

you may want to check your camera manual to see if you have settings for quality or compression, if so, be sure that quality is high, or compression is low or off.

I think the key to the detailed photos you may be talking about is a Macro function on your camera. It allows you to get really close to the subject. If your cameral has a Macro function, the macro button should have a little tulip icon.

I hope this helps.

Taking good photographs like anything else takes practice.

I like to post mine pictures from an online storage,,like Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket its free and easy to sign up !!

This lets me post pics that are a little larger and I can store them for posting without filling my files on my computer with pictures that may or may not get used .

As a coin collector most of my pictures are either done in macro or super macro .

But I do like to take an occasional shot of other things !!

Konica Minolta Dimage Z2 4 mega pixel

Just take your time and learn to use the camera to the best of its and your ability ,, you can take some really great pictures without a high mega pixel camera .

Also the good thing about digital. You know what your photo is going to look like if you don't like the photo just delete and take another one. I take several photos of the same thing at different angles and I pick the best one when I view it on the computer.

That is the best advice I could give for someone starting out. If it don't work the first time try try again.
