Welcome to TQ, A gator digging tool is what I use. It gets through tough grass and roots. Very good. If you are into beach hunting, then a beach scoop is what you need to sift the beach sand, Try checking out some of our sponsors for some deals. Good Luck...Buster.....

^^ agreed, lesche's are the best, they have a cerrated edge for cutting through roots and are super durable.

I agree, the Lesche diggers are #1. They may be a bit pricey, but you can bet it is the best digging tool money can buy. Digging through very rocky ground is nothing with these diggers. Best of all, the handle will not break like those garden spades.

I use the Fiskars garden knife and so far it's hard to beat for the money.

I also have the Fiskars garden knife. Got it at Wally World, but I hear a bunch of good stuff about that Lesche tool. I've heard it will last forever. The Fiskars has issues with the handle.

I have a gator tool (man is it handy to work at Kellyco sometimes...) and I found it super useful when I was going for my license plate. But the sand scoops are where it's at for me - I prefer the beach

So far I've found one very old license plate, a lot of nails, some funky green pennies and other misc. change.. but who's counting? I'm just here to have fun, giggle, and make friends along the way!
