Default Where to buy a metaldetector

I have decided to purchase my first detector, a Garett Ace 250. Not sure if I should buy it online, at a local store, etc. The best price ($212.46) I have found is at kellycodetectors.com. If anyone can give me any pros or cons about this detector or kellycodetectors it would be greatly appreciated.

The Ace 250 is a great machine. You should be very happy with it. As for Kellyco, I have always been very pleased with the service I received from them. Their are plenty of places on the net to buy a detector & Kellyco is as good as any of them!

P.S. Welcome to TQ!!!

Plus, they're a sponsor here, so you would be supporting TQ, as well!!

Yup, you get a lot more than products when you buy from one of our sponsors. One of them is Kellyco I believe.

Take a look at the posts in the Garrett forum. There's a lot of info there from members who own them. I have no doubt you will find targets with it.

I would suggest any TQ sponsor instead of eBay. You will get backing and friendly people who will stand behind the product.

So far I've found one very old license plate, a lot of nails, some funky green pennies and other misc. change.. but who's counting? I'm just here to have fun, giggle, and make friends along the way!

Welcome to TQ. Lots of 250 users here so you'll get all kinds of help. As far as Kellyco's, even if they were not a Sponsor here but thats were you wanted to go then I've been a customer of there's and never had a problem. They are Great to deal with. Congratulations on your new detector.

Good Luck & HH.

Thumbs up

I ordered my ace250 from kellyco without any probs in ordering or shipping! I would highly recommend you get a coil cover for it.
Only problem I've had was only ordering 1 detector- (yep, I'm married - she detects= I dig!!oh well, christmas is around the corner.)

Happy Hunting and Good Luck
