Default Cibola Verses BH

Hello
I am bidding on a used Tesoro Cibola at ebay. Would anyone have an opinion on how a Cibola would compare to my previouse detector which was a BH Pioneer 505, new in 2006.
The pioneer retailed for $290 new and the Cibolas go for around $340 new. I mainly would like to find old coins and rings. I live in Iowa....xtra question; Does the Iowa top soil make it difficult to find old coins? Thanks much for any and all replys. Good Hunting. Dave

No experience with a Cibola, But I use a Tejon and just aquired a vaquero for a backup. It did not take me very long to fall in love with the tesoros, dispite them not having the visual screen. I am basically a relic hunter and these two machines work very well...and are deep. From what I've heard about the Cibola it looks like it would be a good choice. I chose the Vaquero over the Cibola only because the Vaquero has manual ground balane.

I agree with John on this one. There is no comparison at all. The Cibola is a far better machine than the BH. It will hunt very deep and find you some great items. Good luck on the bid, Beale.

I have a Tesoro Silver uMax and even though it is a beginner model it works like a champ. I have had the BH model you had and there is no comparison between the BH and my Silver uMax. And since the Cibola is deeper, there will be NO comparison. Oh, forgot, I threw my BH away because it stopped working and BH would not repair or replace it. You made a good choice with the Cibola my friend. Plus Tesoro service is of the very best.
