Default What metal detector to buy

I was looking at an ACE 250 but I've decided to spend a little more money. I'm looking in the $300.00 to $350.00 range. Any suggestions would help. I will purchase my MD from Kellyco, do mostly coin shooting and relic hunting.

The Minelab X-terra 30 might be a little above your price range ($399) but I highly recommend it. An excellent machine. If you decide to purchase elsewhere Tesoro makes a very good machine in your range. Kellyco has several others in that range that I do not have any experience with. But I'm sure their are others who will chime in!

IMO the Tesoro Cibola is a great machine in your price range. The Fisher F2 is new and looks to be a nice unit. I will second the X=Terra 30 also. For sure check out all the sponsors and talk to them.

Good luck in your choice, Beale.

The Cibola is great but Kellyco doesn't handle Tesoro so I would talk to someone at Kellyco as you have a few very good choices, Exterra 30, Fishers F2, Whites Prizm and so on. Kellyco has Great Folks there that will help you with you decision.

I agree with Tinman, when I purchased mine from Kellyco the guy I talked to was even familiar with the ground makeup in New York and was extremly knowledgeable about their products. Don't be afraid to contact our other sponsors for their input as well.

After much thought and some more research I've decided to stick with my original choice and purchase a Ace 250. Thanks to everyone who gave me some insight on what detector to purchase. I ordered it the other day from Kellyco. The only bad thing is I don't think I'll get much detecting done with snow on the ground....Think SPRING
