Ok folks I am finally headed to the NC outer banks next week for a big job..But I plan on taken
some time to get in a few hunts..It might have to be at night due to work but its fine by me the F75 is always lit up...and ready to go....Just knowing the history of the area I will be Relic hunting close to the oceans waters as deep as possible..Lots of pirates including Black beard use to hang out..I cant wait..anyone with a few tips..thanks james..

Watch where you go James. I think everything south of Nags head is federal land and no hunting on it.
Have a good time and good luck

Earl

Default Try to hook up with the Soda Pop Pirates if You Can.

Those boys know the Outer Banks backwards and forwards. I only know them from forums but you should be able to contact them thru Youtube. Here's a short video of one of their hunts, they have several on Youtube.

YouTube - Outer Banks Treasure Hunting

Apparently there are a lot of restrictions on hunting in this area so it would be wise to get local advice on the Do's and Don't's. Bad mojo if you get your detector confiscated by the Feds.

Cheers,

BDA

Cool thanks bbq..I was right on the money after thinking about what was illegal and legal
I will be nags head and north with limited time to hunt..I am surprised that oregan inlet is off limits due to the population of folks driving there 4x4 truck oyster hunting and fishing..I wouldn't have known that..I bet the Fed workers have hunted hard in there..sneaking around ..dont ya think..just my opinion..I wonder how many Deep divers have gone off shore and hunted the ship wrecks or is that totally off limits..I think Black beard lived close to Nags head...WOW at the history of that little corner of NC....james
