Default 2 box question

OK, I don't have one, nor do I know anything about them outside of the claims of some pretty fair depths (20-30 feet +). This is merely a curosity question.

Could you take a 2 box detector out into a boat in say 20' of water, hold it over the side (of a non-metallic boat), scan the waters surface & detect metallic items on the bottom??

umm... god forbid something rock the boat and you slip and drop it down. I'm not too sure which two-box detector you're looking at, but there are magnetometers that can show you all kinds of stuff and are completely water proof. I would NEVER risk holding that much non-submersible money over water.

Quantro Sensing Discovery Boat Towed Underwater Proton Magnetometer - Kellyco Metal Detectors <--- There's the link to one that we sell... it's mad expensive but has some really excellent results. You may wanna read about it just for giggles.

Hope this helps!

So far I've found one very old license plate, a lot of nails, some funky green pennies and other misc. change.. but who's counting? I'm just here to have fun, giggle, and make friends along the way!

Hi, I Own Three Of The Two Box Detectors All Different Brands. I Have Never Tried Doing This But I'm Going To Say No. Because When You Set Them Up And Tune Them You Tune To The Ground. It's Very Possible That You May Be Able To Use One At A Shallower Depth Though. There May Even Be A Different Brand Or Model That May Do This.. My Machines I Have Claim To Go Like 20 Foot But That's On Like A Car Hood Or Something Big Like That. Mine Would Never Pick A Coin Up Very Far If At All. Pop Cans Hub Caps Etc. Yes. Later Thanks JJ

I should have stated I'm not looking to buy one, this question was out of sheer curosity. The magnetometers I knew were expensive (matter of fact, I was looking through my KellyCo catalog when I had the initial thought), and the 2 boxes were only the fraction of the price. Just thought if someone had one & a grappeling hook, they might come-up with something interesting....I was thinking bigger than coins.
