Default Fisher F2/Ace 250/ salt beach comparison/beach

I am wanting to get my daughter a new machine for around the price of these 2 machines
I keep reading that the ace 250 is a great ocean wet salt machine..beach hunter..has anyone read the fisher F2 which is a better deal as the small coil is includes..will work as good as the ace in or near the salt water..I want her to be able to hunt the creeks and beaches.I really like the lay out of the fisher for her to learn on..But I keep hearing the rave reviews about the ace..any info would be great thanks james..she will be 11 years old..

I think I should qualify some of my comments on the ACE250 in saltwater beaches wet/dry sand and saltwater shallows hunting. The ACE250 will find loot in the salt wetsand and in saltwater shallows, it wasn't specificly designed to do this but it does a pretty good job anyway and it does it at an entry level price - That's the AMAZING Part! The ACE performs as well at the saltwater beach as units costing 2 to 3 times as much but it can't compete with an Excalibur or a CZ21 even in the dry sand, these are dedicated beach machines and you pay for it big time.
I wish I could speak knowledgeably on the F2 but I can't, the ACE250 will definitely provide your daughter with tons of fun at the beach for a reasonable price.

Cheers,

BDA

BDA said it best. It is very lite as well, which will keep her swinging longer.

Thanks for the input..Its great to know the ace 250 will work good in the salt water for finding the lost loot and other places as well...not sure about the F2 Its specs say it will GB to salt..she will mostly be hunting parks..But it would be cool to se her hunt the beaches..

I have been facing the same question , but for my Dad in Florida. I think the Ace 250 will be the one.

I have both the 250 and the F2 but with this dang winter hanging on I have been unable to get out to try them out. The beach is an hour or so away but am hoping to get there at some point in time when the weather is somewhat cooperating.

There's a fellow over at treasurenet who goes by the name easymoneyhe raves about the f2 over the ace on salty/iron soil beaches.
This guy is from sweet home, something tells me he knows what it is he speaks of,wonder if he was at one time affiliated with whites, or just coincidence?
