We live in a relatively new complex (5-6 years old) and although I've found a few clad coins - most of the stuff I find seems to be construction junk that they rolled the new sod over....

Default My Backyard

My backyard has offered up some very cool stuff. 1913 penny , the button in my avatar, no id yet. Silver bracelet, padlocks, garden tools, sprinklers, hot wheel cars, $5.00 or so in clad. But don't forget to fill yer holes. Even though it's your yard. I didn't fill a couple thought I would come back to em, but I quit for the day. Next day my wife is out doin some yard work. Guess what, ya she tripped n fell cause of 1 of the holes. Got some nice explicitives. Promised her I would fill em, n I'll be out there again sometime soom I'm sure.I also found some keys, my wifes

Default My best is the Yard

My best finds are still in the yard. I came up yesterday with a very old S&H Cash Stores Token. I'm finding that as I go, and dig everything, I'm getting further and further down, and I'm also getting better discrimination because I'm removing the surface trash.

GREETINGS.....IM STILL SURPRISED WHEN I SEARCH MY YARD!! HOUSE WAS BUILT IN AN OLD WALNUT ORCHARD ON ABOUT AN ACRE WHERE THEY REMOVED A BUNCH OF TREES AND TUCKED THE HOUSE IN AROUND THE EARLY 1960S. WHEN I WANT TO TEST A NEW PROGRAM, LOOP OR STILL HAVE THE FEVER AFTER A HUNT I GO TO THE YARD. I LIKE TO TRY AFTER A GOOD RAIN AND A DIFFERENT DIRECTION AND IT NEVER FAILS TO PRODUCE A FEW COINS EVERY TIME!!!
TO DATE: 78 PENNIES 22 DIMES 8 NICKLES 18 QUARTERS 4 WHEATIES A MANS GOLD RING SOME MEDALLIONS AND TOKENS METAL TOY CARS AND LOTS OF ODDBALL RELICS. NO SILVER SO FAR. MAYBE ILL SWING THE LOOP IN MY YARD BEFORE I HEAD OUT WHO KNOWS....
