Default Garmin Street Pilot c-330

Hi all .. was wondering we just got this Garmin and havent tried it out yet. Was wondering say I have some old Post office coordinates ''WHICH I DO" can those coordinates be used with this Street pilot. Can I punch those in and be lead to the site or is that not gonna work!

Anyone have this unit,or tried this with another unit. if so how accurate are they. Any input on this would be appreciated.

I had a Garmin Street Pilot III and I couldn't put coordinates into it and I would guess that you can't on yours either, only addresses. Got a built in system now and can't do it on that either. I also have a Garmin 12XL handheld that's perfect for it.

The best thing to do is study your User's Manual to see if your particular model supports coordinate input. If it's a handheld GPS, I'm sure it would support coordinates, and SOME of the car units do, but you would really need to look at your User's Manual. As far as how accurate they are, they should be within a few feet / yards. Again, this would depend on the unit, but Garmin is a really great GPS company. I have a Magellan, my second one, but it doesn't support coordinate input. It will tell me the coordinates of my current position, though, so if you know the general area, you could look it up online (Google Maps might be able to give you directions using coordinates), you could keep checking your GPS to see how close to the correct coordinates you are. I hope this makes sense.

Good luck!!

I'm not sure that they make the 12xl anymore, I bought mine about 8-10 years ago....still going strong, but I'm sure the ones they have probably are less expensive with more features......Good Luck on whichever one you decide on!

Hey thanks for the responses. I am thinking a handheld one for Detecting purposes. And one you can load different programs or maps into

Seems like using one would save time. I usally have to go by SOUTHWEST CORNER OF TIPPECANOE TOWNSHIP IN THE SOUTHEAST CORNER! to go by from maps, computer however I am researching a place. That can mean a lot of area to cover and possibly multiple owners.
