Default The two sides of a Coin

Hello everyone ..had sort of a strange question, but here goes. I found a old coin. Got home to clean it. Cleaned it in some peroxide. One side has a bunch of corrosion the other not as much but is recognizable. Consider this is a copper, nickel alloy, and was found in a field!

"can side a of coin be worse than side b due to chemicals or ground conditions depending on what side is facing down or up." Or is this most likely just from handling in circulation?

Are you confused or yet? Not sure if this makes sense?

I think it makes perfect sense, when you dug it did you notice which side was up?

Makes sense. I have read that chemical fertilizers can wreck a coin.

Steve I have found two copper coins in this area. One wasn't bad just discolored and worn. This one the chemicals left in bad shape.
