I know this is a spur but is there anyway to date it?

Hey Tater, just doesn't quite look like a spur to me, they are usually thicker I think and are a half moon shape

I would venture to say the mid 1800's BUT it is very hard to tell without having it in hand. I sent a photo to Harry Ridgeway ( The Civil War Man ) of your spur. Hope to have an answer soon.
