The Vibra Probe seems to be the choice of a lot of folks on this site. Good pointer, well made water proof. Good luck with the choice, Beale.

You should look into tinytec pin pointers, google search them and you will find them. I used one for awhile and it worked great! They also have a good warranty and a light on them , For a price around 30 to 45 dollars, Good luck,CHarlie

The best thing is to check the classified forums here, and at http://www.findmall.com/index.php and http://www.thetreasuredepot.com/index.html
and pick up something that someone got in a package deal but does not want, or even a used one. I picked up an automax v4 for like $55 shipped, and I have seen V2s go for less.

I have heard good things about the tinytec ones, but they are not selling them right now, there site said they are down for a vacation but gave no info on when they would be back.
