Default Titanium Signals

Can anyone tell me where titanium will show up on my Garrett 250? I have offered to help someone find a titanium wedding ring and thought I'd better check it out with you guys first.

Thanks!

Anyone? Bueller? lol

I've been doing some checking around online and there seems to be some dispute whether titanium will register at all. I can't imagine that it won't but I think I'll have to do some first hand research. I'll check with a local jeweler and see if he'll help me out (if he has any titanium items in his store) and if not I will consider buying a titanium ring online. But doing that I worry about the quality of it. I used to have a titanium diver's knife but I may have given that away when I quit diving.

anyway, if I find anything out I'll let you all know.

you've saved me a lot of time and I sincerely appreciate it.

The guy who lost his ring lost it playing softball, probably taking off his glove so at least we have a vague idea of where to look - the dugout or short center. I'm hoping he can get permission for us to search the ball diamond - it's at a corporate-owned park and we won't be able to dig but hopefully they'll let us surface hunt for the ring.

Just like Zaxfire69 said Yes the Ace will pick it up. Mine reads it in the foil pull tab range though.

Mine is solid 5 cent, but yeah in the 5 cent/pull tab area is where you will pick the readings up. I am just glad I could help. I have a couple of Titanium rings so you were in luck. If it was just lost you should be able to find it, good luck.

My plan, if we can get permission to take a detector on the property, is to look at everything that registers. The guy can have his ring back (hoping we'll find it) and I'll keep anything else. I'm thinking we have a pretty good chance. I'll keep you posted!

thanks for your help too, drver. I was just sure those articles that said titanium wouldn't register at all had to be wrong. You guys are great!
