Have a good time Basset and hope you find a bunch of goodies. If you get by the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo, tell my Daughter inlaw, Gayla, Hi. She was working with the monkeys the last time I was there. She is from KY also.
Enjoy tour trip.

Default Back From Gulf Shores

Hi All
I haven't had time to take pictures of my finds from my trip to Gulf Shores two weeks ago. I found about three dollars in clad, a pair of Rapala fishing pliers and a book mark. I also found quite a few pull taps and what I call beer and soda can caches. One of the beer can caches had a 12 pack buried.
My detector did ok in the dry sand but started to get a little off balance in the wet sand. I used my auto notch turned to the left and my senitivity about in the 3:00 position. Not sure this was the best way but it worked for me at the time. Tried to use all metal mode, didn't seem to work well. I don't think it was the detector as much as it was the user. Will post finds as soon as I can.
When i got home i also had a chance to do some MD at one of our local schools and a small park. Found a childs sterling silver BOOP ring and about three dollars in clad. The more I use my SSII the more I am begining to find. Practice Prictice Prictice.
Thanks for all the help.
Basset
