What setting?

I'm not having much luck with my ACE 250. I'm finding little things but having questions about what setting to have it at when you are first learning.

Does gold come up under a metal setting or more of a foil?

I know the machine LOVES coins and sings like a bird. I'm afraid I'm passing over things I shouldn't.

Hello,

I'm not sure how your detector settings are, I haven't used that brand before. If I were you just set it to accept nickels and up. That should cover any gold you come upon

Hey, I have an Ace 250. Let me tell you, it is an awesome machine. I have found 5 silver with it in a week. The jist of it is this, only go by the consistent readings. If the meter is jumping a lot, it is junk, so move on. I have found that on this machine it will be more difficult to pick up on Gold. Gold is usually down near pull tabs. Not many people find gold. If you want to find it just dig every reading. That is my humble advice.
