Need new headphones

Hi,

Have a Sovereign Elite detector and need some new headphones. Anybody got a recommendation for maybe Timberwolves, Grey Ghosts? I also have a Garrett GTAx 400 and would like to be able to use them on this detector to.
The Elite has its own volume switch and the GTAx does not, will this limit my choice?

I use the GreyGhost Ultimates because they produce a clear target response and you can hear the spits and whispers. They also have a volume knob and a limiter switch that limits the high tone blasts from shallow or big targets and can keep your volume high without going deaf. The Ultimates can be used on any detector with a headphone jack. HH Bill

I purchased a pair of Nugget Buster headphones !!! These phones are basically used by detectorist that hunt them gold nuggets BUT here in Oklahoma there are not to many gold nuggets !!! These Nugget Buster head phones are GREAT for those REALLY DEEP Targets !!! Those WHISPER sounds indicating DEEP targets DONT get passed by with these headphones !!! They have a togle switch on the phones to turn off the sound coming through them while you are digging your target and adjustable volume knobs on each earpiece. So if ya want to spend a little extra money and get some GREAT headphones go with Nugget Buster head phones !! They work FANTASTIC with my Spectrum XLT and TALK ABOUT finding those TINY GOLD JEWLERY that allthe other detectorist pass up !! I have found ALOT of small gold and silver jewlery with these phones !!!! They block out 100% of the distracting outside noise too !!!! HAPPY HUNTING !!! KENNETH

there are only two sizes of headphone jacks. The quality heavier type require the larger jack while the walkman style use the smaller. I have a pair of Garrett headphones that are very nice. You want a set with dual volume controls so you can adjust the volume of the signal. You can get a good set of headphones for under $40.00
