white's prism 5

Just wanted to ask the experienced digger's what they thought of the white's prism 5 with the 950 coil, I,m new at this and it was recommended as a good one ?

The Prizm V is a sloid replacement for the IDX Classic series. Light weight and can get pretty good depth on most targets. You have tone ID and this can enhance your abilitiy to find better targets. All in all a solid detector for the money.

Thank you Tony, I see a lot of people using the ace 250, how does the prism 5 (950coil) compare to the ace 250?

In my opinion the Prizm V is much better overall than the Ace250. It has better tone ID and better pinpointing coupled with better depth. The Ace 250 is a great detector but not in the same league as the Prizm V.

I agree with Tony.I have the prismIV and ace250.I have not used the ace that long yet but it seems to have a little trouble in trashy places more than the prism and the prism seems to be a little deeper.by the way i ordered both from Tony he is a nice guy. I like the ace alot but i think the prism is easer for me.therefor i like it the best.scott
