Thumbs down Pinpointing Confussion

I just recieved my GPT 1350 on Sunday and I am having a heck of a time trying to figure out just what part of the coil the target is pinpointed under. Is it just forward of where the coil connects to the shaft or is it at the front of the inner coil I've seen the pics with the smiley face sticker on the front of the inner coil is that it? PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!

At the inside of the center coil or loop.

I was curious about that with other detectors. Are they all (pinpoint mode) mostly in the middle / center of the detector?

DD or double D coils pinpoint the length of the coil down the middle. The oval shaped concentric coils like those on the 1350 pinpoint to the inside top of the innermost loop or circle.

Default Hey Tim:

The best way to determine the electrical center of your coil is to throw a dime on your carpet and SEE where it is, using reduced depth sensitivity.

I'll be getting my new GTP 1350 next week!
