Hi Butch;
I am partial to the Tesoro Tiger Shark water detector. It has a fresh water and a salt water mode switch which allows you to use it at the shore or inland waters. It has been said to be one of, if not the best detector for water hunting that there is. I know it is hot on gold rings, it really bangs out a signal. Unlike the other detectors that have 1,3,5 year etc. warranties the Tiger Shark has a lifetime warranty which is the best in the busness. I use the old Tesoro Stingray ll which I have sent in for check ups with no warranty problems at all. The reason I still use my Stingray ll is because I can not justify purchasing a TigerShark when my old one still does the job. Good luck and H.H. Harry(PA) ![]() |
