I found an Historical site that looks promising. I'm new, besides my 2 acre spread I have not done any hunting outside yet.
What I would like to know is it possible to MD at historical site? Or are all historical sites no go for metal detecting? Do I try and see if I can get permission or just don't even bother? I'm in Texas. I also wanted to get your opinion of the site. It was a WWII US Infantry Training Camp and German prisoner of war camp from 1942 to 1946. There are a handful of partially standing brick buildings but mostly rows of approx 1ft high concrete blocks/supports all over (barracks?). The facility was huge covering alot of land. What you guys think? I know its not very old, I'm concerned that the military may have done a good job of cleaning it out in 1946. |
