Default Bounty Hunter SSII vs Ace 250

I been playing around with this BH SS II and although it seems to work fine I can't help but feel that I'm MDing with one arm tied. There are just some basic features that I like that the BH in this model does not have, such as depth, visual pinpointing and a couple of others. I know most every one here recommends the ACE 250 as a starter unit and praise its performance.

I like to relic & old coin hunt more than anything else and I'm researching old places to hunt now. Just feel these places yield fewer harder to get finds and using a weak MD will make it much worse.

Since my BH did not cost me anything I was thinking of buying an ACE 250. What do you folks think? I will be getting a high end unit when I get the funds together DFX or SE this fall maybe. Am I not giving the BH a chance and wasting money on the ACE when it can go to the high end unit?

Just need some advice. My confidence level on this BH SS II is low.

Thanks

I have used a Titan 2000XD (by BH) & an Ace 250. The Titan is similar in strength to the SS II. I prefer the Ace, hands down & regularly relic and old coin hunt with it. Probably won't go as deep as the high end units, but it's enough for me, and a dream to use. Simple yet gets the job done to my satisfaction.
