A great gold detector and becoming a pretty good beach and coin detector too. It is an all around good choice. Let me know if I can be of any more help in your decision or just give me a call.

Hello there, & welcome to T.Q. Rubicon:
although I do not have either one of them. I have heard that the Whites M6 and the XLT are very good at hunting for gold.
Someone on here will be able to give you their opinions on what might suit your particular needs.

Default To Rubicon: Are You Ready For Future Shock???!!!!

A lot of changes has happened in electronic technology for metal detectors since 1974. Hope you are ready for it, most of the changes are good! Not sure if $850.00 can cure it though! For most of us , it was a gradual process. We got thru it slowly. But for you it is going to be like jumping inta an ICY RIVER! I never cared for the motion circuit (ALTHOUGH THERE IS AN EXCEPTION OR 2) but I did try a few units out before coming to that conclusion! I like the older Compass detectors (among others) especially the 77B, COIN MAGNUM, AND THE RELIC MAGNUM SERIES! The Exceptions (for motion) would be the Teknetics Mark 1 and Big Bud Pro! Be careful in what you chose cause you may transgress (like me) and be more happy with a machine from our earlier days that doesn't have all the bells and whistles! THE BEST TREASURE HUNTER doesn't need the most expensive detector on the market to be GOOD! BEING GOOD COMES FROM EXPERIENCE! HH Joe

Default Hello Bill.....

.....I'm in Littleton, (Centennial), Colorado and I am both a Minelab and a Tesoro Dealer. Give me a call at 303.881.6748, and let's talk about spme ideas for you.

From the looks of the weather, it will probably be a while before either of us will be able to do any hunting, so you have plenty of time.

Chuck
