Detector shaft&cable protection
Not sure if anyone already does this and have not seen any post on it so far. Saw this on ( tips & tricks on mtl dtc ) and tried it the other day while in a wooded area. Use that Foam Pipe Insulation to cover your shaft & cable. works great, keeps from snagging the cable on anything,No weight at all & very cheap. Just thought I would share this.

Great idea!
we've been using split conduit on the I-160, to tidy up the cable, but some cable always works its way out the bottom of the conduit and gets snagged. I reckon that foam idea would work so much better.
