Hello zendog1960 & welcome to the site. You will enjoy the fellowship on here. The people are all 1st class. As for a excellent digger I would humbly suggest the Lesche digger. It is one tough tool. You can contact one of the T.Q. sponsors to obtain one. The sponsors on here will treat you right and they all follow up with excellent service. |

Welcome, spent a few months in vegas last year before last having a pumpkin patch and tree lot down on the road that goes under the freeway out toward Sumerlin, can't think of the street, across from 24 hr fitness and a Denny's, right on the main drag, anyway never got to do mding, but I loved the Red Rock Canyon area, it is truly beautiful.
welcome again, people here are wonderful, blessings

Lesche Digger is good, but so is a very stout drywall saw and a heavy cast aluminum potting shovel. Later combination is my favorite for the rock hard volcanic soils of my area in Northern NM. Welcome and happy hunting!

I want to thank you all for the warm welcome. I have been reading tons of information here on this site and am loving all the tips and suggestions. Keep them coming.
I visited the only dealer in Las Vegas, Desert Outfitters, and the nice gentleman gave me tons of information as well. I currently own a Bounty Hunter. It is rather old but does pick up some stuff but is very difficult to tell what is what. I am looking into upgrading to a better machine this week. I was told about a series of concrete pads that was once a duplex community in Henderson that was an area the housed workers on the Hoover Damn. I took the bounty hunter over there to day but the trash is unbelievable. Cut nails, pull tabs and small wires were all over the place and the bounty hunter made it very very hard to locate anything worth keeping. I did manage to find a wheatie. A friend with be better detector found a lot of older coins and I am very anxious to get an upgraded model to get back out there. Thanks again for all the help and look forward to a lot of questions from me! Zendog1960
