I have tried an item called the balanced straight shaft for my excal 1000, Many of you may have heard that the excal is heavy out of the water...but here is an item that may help anyone thinking of getting an excal....The shaft is straight and the control box is attached behind the elbow. I swang it for 4 hrs. with no problem. The balance of the disc infront and the weight of the machine behind makes it swing like a pendalum. Here are some pictures of how it looks. Hope this tip may help some of you that are thinking of getting a excal water machine. I have the shaft in all the way for the pictures, it extends out about 2 more feet.
