After a days worth of detecting you should Remove your Coil Cover and
clean out the fine dirt or sand that can get in between the coil and cover itself.
This material can cause a lot of false signals if not cleaned out Regularly and build up occurs..

Or
If you don't like cleaning the coil cover all the time.... Apply an Epoxy or A spray -on bedliner to it.... then you don't have to ever worry about it again.

Always check out abandoned cigarette packs... People always tend to stash items in the packs... cash, Jewelry, other.

Dig the Foil and Pulltabs.... There may be a Ring waiting for you in disguise.

Relax, have fun the rewards will come. As always when you least expect them. Patience, listen to your machine, it will all come to you in time. It's like trying to ride a motorcycle for the first time, after awhile, you wonder how it became so easy. Same thing with MD'ing. Go for it and have fun.

Don't give up if you can't find your target in the hole. Something is there, it just might be deeper than you thought.

Default Use three metal detectors!

Most people rely on the one in their hand and forget about the ones between their ears. By being observant with your eyes as well, it is possible to even beat the finds with your metal detector-and they can be used when the one in your hand is resting at home!

Always be ready to go. Keep your tools pouch and knee pads ready to go in a bag with spare batteries. If you travel take it with you and never pass up a chance to hunt. Ice

Be aware of your surroundings. When wearing headphones you cant hear whats going on around you.

I will also add another...If you have a feeling that you should hunt...say over there, then hunt over there...Go with your Gut feeling...That little voice is trying to tell you something..This has worked for me a whole bunch of times...Also works the other way also..if the little voice says to get out or don't hunt there..., you better leave...Buster.....
